Bridging USDC to EWX

Energy Web X supports Bring Your Own Token (BYOT) functionality through a live XCM channel with Polkadot Asset Hub. This means Solution Group Registrars can fund reward pools in assets beyond EWT, and VCC Operators can earn rewards in supported assets including USDC. To participate, USDC must be routed to EWX via Asset Hub. This section covers how to move USDC onto EWX, how to access liquidity via Hydration, and how to move funds back when needed.

Bridging USDC between EWX and Asset Hub Asset Hub is the canonical entry point for USDC on the Polkadot ecosystem. Transfers between EWX and Asset Hub use XCM, Polkadot's native cross-chain messaging protocol. Accessing liquidity via Hydration Hydration is a liquidity hub on Polkadot that supports USDC swaps and provides the primary route for acquiring USDC within the ecosystem. If you need to convert EWT or another asset into USDC before bridging to EWX, or want to swap USDC into another asset after bridging out, Hydration is the recommended path.
