Connecting to a wallet account
This section provides a step by step guide in connecting the EWX Bridging Web App with a wallet account
Ensure that your wallet supports the bridge chain origin
Energy Web X (EWX)
To ensure that your wallet supports the Energy Web X chain, please check if it is one of the supported networks in your wallet.
If not, please refer to below details to add Energy Web X as a custom network in your wallet:

Token Symbol: EWT
Network Type: Substrate
Block Explorer: https://energywebx.subscan.io/
Energy Web Chain (EWC)
Make sure that Energy Web Chain is enabled in "Manage Networks" settings in your wallet.
Ethereum
Make sure that Ethereum is enabled in "Manage Networks" settings in your wallet.
Connect bridge origin wallet account
Security Notice EWX Bridging uses trustless pallets to secure your assets. Never share your private keys or seed phrase.
The first step is to select which chain you would like to transfer EWT from. Simply hover or click on the option under FROM label and a dropdown will appear. However, the destination chain cannot be changed (refer to bridge routes ).

Click on Connect Wallet button either at the bottom of the page or at the navigation header. A modal window will appear that prompts wallet connection. The interface differs slightly when connecting to an EWX account versus a non-EWX account, as explained in the following sections.
Connecting to Energy Web X
Choose your preferred wallet to connect.

Once connected, you will see your wallet details such as address and balance.

View account details on explorer
Click on the View on Explorer button to check the wallet account in the official EWX Explorer.

This action will open a new tab to show wallet account details on Subscan.

Switch accounts
In order to be able to switch accounts, ensure that accounts are enabled for connection to the EWX Bridging Web App in your wallet. Below are examples on how to do so.
Before enabling the accounts, ensure that there are multiple accounts setup in your wallet extension.

Before enabling the accounts, ensure that there are multiple accounts setup in your wallet extension.

Connect Account button Tick the checkboxes of accounts to be enabled and click on the
Connectbutton
Accounts selection The accounts will automatically get enabled for connection to the EWX Staking Web App
Click on the Switch Account button to switch wallet accounts.

Choose the account to switch to and automatically the web app connects the selected account.

Disconnect
Simply click on the Disconnect button.

Connecting to Energy Web Chain or Ethereum
Choose your preferred wallet to connect.

Once connected, you will see your wallet details such as address and balance.

View account details on explorer
Click on the View on Explorer button to check the wallet account in the blockchain explorer, depending whether you are connected to Energy Web Chain or Ethereum. This action will open a new tab to show the wallet details.



Disconnect
Simply click on the Disconnect button.

Switch network
Switching between EWC and ETH
You can switch chain between EWC and ETH without disconnecting, the same address will be used. To do so, simply hover or click on the option under FROM label and switch to a non-EWX chain.

Switching from/to EWX
A modal will appear to inform you that the current wallet session will be disconnected. Click Confirm to continue.
